Progress

If you've read Sarah's Solace, then you should be able to guess who my next book will be about. :) I'm making good progress on the writing. I'm also thrilled when a new character appears out of nowhere, especially when I instantly love the person!

Writing going well!

I admit that I was a little nervous about starting my next book, but I'm really happy with how it's going. Lots of surprises. :) I'm back in the groove!

Happy New Year, Everyone! I'm determined to start writing my new book within the next couple of days! It will be a balancing act trying to market Sarah's Solace and write. Wish me luck!

'Sarah's Solace' and my next book

Two years ago today, I started writing Sarah's Solace. As soon as I started writing it, I could feel that it was going to be really great. I got lucky that I was able to come up with the story and the words flowed. I hope I have the same luck with my next book that I'll be starting in January. I can't wait!

Music

I've just added a list of music that inspired Sarah's Solace. Most of the songs are linked to a music video. Music is a huge influence on my writing. I always have music playing when I write, usually the Coffee House Sirius station on Dish Network. I get a lot of the emotion from the songs. Here are some examples: 'One Moment More' really portrays the sorrow Sarah feels, while 'Come on Get Higher' (the slow, acoustic version) was perfect for the most passionate part of the book. It's such a sensual song. When you listen to all of these songs, you hear how they relate to the book. I enjoyed writing Sarah's Solace so much that I know I will always want to write. I have so many ideas for my next book that I will begin writing in January, and of course I am already getting inspiration from a variety of music. I can't wait!
